On June 2, and only hours after Amazon officially confirmed its dates for Prime Day, Target announces its Deal Days shopping event. The big sale kicks off June 20 (one day before Prime Day) and lasts through June 22. For reference, Amazon's Prime Day is traditionally held in July, but this year, they rolled it out early after delaying the event in 2020 to October because of COVID-19. It's also worth noting that Target threw its Deal Days sale on the same days as Prime Day in 2019 and 2020.
For the first time, Deal Days will not only start in June, but it will also last for a full three days (that's 24 hours longer than ever before) in what Target describes as a "refresh-your-space, update-your-wardrobe, stock-your-pantry, pamper-yourself-and-loved-ones magic." And this year's Deals Days will now include food and beverage sales while continuing other popular perks, including Target’s same-day pickup and 5% off digital GiftCards.
“Target Deal Days is bigger and better than ever for all guests, with more days and ways to save, including food and beverage deals this year,” says Christina Hennington, Target's executive vice president and chief growth officer. “Our industry-leading, safe and easy fulfillment options deliver same-day joy — with no waiting or membership fee required.”
Keep checking back, but while we're waiting for more specific details to come from Target, here's what we know so far:
Target Deal Days details
Last year, Deal Days included online-only doorbusters featuring Apple AirPods, 4K TVs and robotic vacuums, plus, $50 off the Instant Pot 8-quart Duo Crisp Combo, up to 50% off select home furniture, up to 10% off Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface laptops and up to 40% off toys. Expect new deals to be added to the sale every day.

More ways to save
Starting June 16 through June 19, digital Target GiftCards will be 5% off on Target.com. For even more discounts every day, join Target's Circle loyalty program for free.
Here's what all this means for shoppers:
Target and Amazon will go head-to-head by offering consumers amazing deals on electronics, essential items, toys, beauty products, jewelry and more. Deal Days might also compel shoppers who don't have a Prime membership (and therefore can't shop Prime Day deals).
