Tech fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the Microsoft Store Surface Pro 5, and for a good reason. The 2-in-1 device has grown in popularity since the first generation was released in 2013.
Microsoft Store still hasn’t announced an official release date for the coveted device; however, some suspect that it could be released on Black Friday 2016.
Why Black Friday
Black Friday is known for hot deals on electronics, including tablets and computers. Additionally, the publicity surrounding “the biggest shopping day of the year” has the potential to boost sales of the latest generation of the Surface Pro.
Both of these factors could tempt Microsoft into launching on Black Friday 2016.
Other Possible Release Dates
Some sources are skeptical of a Black Friday 2016 launch date, because the Surface Pro 4 launched a little less than a year ago in October 2015. PC Advisor thinks it’s unlikely that the Surface Pro 5 will launch so close to the release of the last model, and Tech Radar thinks a more likely release date would be in the Spring of 2017.
However, it’s still possible that tech fans could see the latest generation of the Surface Pro this fall. By Black Friday, it will have been over a year since the release of the last model, and Black Friday buzz makes it an excellent time to launch a new product.
