If you think that your favorite retailers are done offering deep discounts, think again. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday have already come and gone, there are still plenty of opportunities to save big in December.
Retailers know that many people are still trying to finish their holiday shopping in the weeks and days leading up to Christmas, so they’ll be offering tons of opportunities to save big this month. In fact, half of last year’s shoppers were still plugging away at their holiday shopping lists through mid-December, according to this 2020 survey from Offers.com.

Shop the “Deals of the Day” from Amazon and Target throughout December
During Black Friday, Amazon is famous for its Lightning Deals, and the bargains don’t stop in December. This online-only retailer keeps the savings coming through the month of December in the form of “Epic Daily Deals.”
Every day, you can find a handful of products that are named the “Deals of the Day.” These items cover everything from toys and tech to apparel and accessories. You’ll want to keep checking back each day because Amazon will be offering new deals every 24 hours.
Not to be outdone by Amazon, Target is also featuring one or more “Deals of the Day.” You can shop them online, in-stores and on the app. Typically, you’ll be able to shop these deals all day. However, some of the more popular ones may run out early, so it’s smart to check out the daily deals before it gets too late in the day.
Save some green on Green Monday, Dec. 13, 2021
You can think of Green Monday as Cyber Monday’s cousin. eBay held the world’s first Green Monday sale back in 2007. Back then, the second Monday in December was viewed as the last day that online shoppers could receive guaranteed delivery by Christmas. Even though many retailers now offer same-day shipping, Green Monday endures.
eBay isn’t the only retailer to offer savings on the second Monday in December. Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart have all hosted Green Monday sales in the past. While many retailers no longer refer to these savings events as “Green Monday sales,” that’s exactly what they are. This year, with an increased reliance on online shopping, you can expect to find plenty of deals from your favorite retailers.
Find super savings on Super Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021
The last Saturday before Christmas is crunch time when it comes to holiday shopping. That’s why many retailers host Super Saturday sales. You can find tons of one-day-only deals both online and in stores to help you finish any last-minute shopping.
Because Christmas falls on a Friday this year, you’ll have six days in between Super Saturday and Christmas Day to complete all your shopping. While there might not be enough time to get everything delivered by Christmas (deliveries are generally taking longer due to the supply chain and shipping issues), there’s still plenty of time to take advantage of services like curbside or in-store pickup.
Get ready for next year with After-Christmas Sales, Dec. 26, 2021
Every year, Dec. 26 (referred to as Boxing Day in many other parts of the world) is a great time to stock up on holiday decorations, Christmas trees, seasonal gift wrap and holiday treats. As retailers try to clear out products from the holidays, they offer deep discounts to shoppers.
You can also find savings on winter clothing and holiday gift sets on Dec. 26, making it the perfect time to save on gifts for family and friends with winter birthdays (and even for yourself).
Don’t forget about the semi-annual sales
Many retailers also host their semi-annual sales during the month of December. Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret host two of the biggest ones. Last year, both retailers started their December semi-annual sales right after Christmas, so we predict that they will start their 2021 sales around the same time this year. These sales offer massive discounts on fragrances, candles and body care products (at Bath & Body Works) and intimates, sleepwear and beauty products (at Victoria’s Secret).
Steam, which offers game downloads for Windows, Mac and Linux, also has a Winter Sale in December. You can shop the savings from Dec. 22 through Jan. 5 this year. In previous years, we saw amazing discounts on game downloads. In fact, some were as much as 80% to 90% off.
