Early Holiday Shopping? A New Trend

At BlackFriday.com, we live for a good deal. After all, it’s why we created a website dedicated to Black Friday and holiday sales. However, a new survey suggests that more Americans plan to complete their holiday shopping before November even rolls around.

According to a survey by Market Track, one-third of Americans plan to finish their holiday shopping before November, and nearly half plan to complete most of their shopping before Black Friday. These numbers are up from last year.

This is interesting information, but what does it mean for Black Friday shoppers? You can expect to see digital sales starting as early as October and deep discounts continuing well into December. Retailers want to compete for your business - and offering incredible deals is how they do it. It’s win-win situation for shoppers and stores.

We're already aware of how big retailers seek to expand the Black Friday shopping craze well beyond Black Friday through the likes of Cyber Monday, Cyber Week, Green Monday and countless other marketing avenues. It'll be interesting to see this year however, which stores place emphasis on sale events before Black Friday. As we've seen in the past two years, Kohl's has been quick to start their Black Friday online sales early. Perhaps "Black Friday Week" will start to become a real thing!
