After experimenting with more expensive featured TVs on their Black Friday ad's front page in 2013 and 2014, Walmart reverted back to more value oriented Black Friday TV deals for 2015. Instead of featuring larger 60" and 65" TVs for over $600 in the previous two years, last year Walmart advertised a 40" TV for $149 and a 50" TV for $269 (what a value!). Walmart still provided a higher-end Black Friday TV deal however: a 70" Vizio TV for $898.

Walmart Black Friday Laptops

One of the most closely followed product categories for Walmart's Black Friday ad is laptops. Interestingly though, the last Walmart Black Friday ad did not feature a laptop on the front page, which marks the first time this has happened in over three years. Walmart did feature a tablet however (for $29!) so this may be an indication of the broadening mobile computing category. Furthermore, the recent Walmart Black Friday ad only featured 3 laptop deals in total, which is down from 6 laptop deals in the 2014 Walmart Black Friday ad. If past years are any indication though, there should still be a budget-focused laptop deal this year because there is a strong trend of laptops below $200 in the Black Friday sale for Walmart. And if you enjoy products from HP, you're really in luck because they are the brand that is most represented in past Walmart Black Friday ads.

Walmart Black Friday Clothing

While electronics attracts the most attention from Black Friday shoppers, don't forget the often overlooked discounts on clothing! Every Black Friday ad from Walmart in recent years features clothing sales for women, men and children. Clothing seems to always be featured at prices below $10, with most items priced between $4 and $8. And don't forget about accessories; the Black Friday sale from Walmart is a great time to stock up on cold weather items like scarves, gloves, socks and slippers which were all featured in last year's Black Friday sale for under $10.

Walmart Black Friday 1 Hour Guarantee

The last several Walmart Black Friday ads have featured a handful of products which Walmart guarantees to be available in store for 1 hour. Over the years these guaranteed products have changed, but there is a strong pattern of products which are typically featured:

• Xbox One bundle - for the last two years there has been an Xbox One bundle, in 2014 it cost $329 and last year it cost $299
• HP Laptop - in two of the last three years there has been a HP laptop available priced under $300
• iPad - from 2012 onwards there has always been an iPad of some sort featured in Walmart's Black Friday 1 Hour Guarantee
• TVs - over the last four years there is always at least one type of TV featured. Often, there is a large TV (55"+) available for around $675 discounted by approximately $300. Further, there is also usually a value-priced TV option which is guaranteed with prices which range from $98 in to $218.
