For many Black Friday shoppers, the biggest shopping day of the year wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Walmart (or at least their website).
The retail giant wants to keep their position as a top retail destination for Black Friday 2016, so you can expect them to offer even more online and in-store deals than ever before. We know it can be overwhelming, but you have the BlackFriday.com team to guide you to the best deals.
We might not have the Black Friday 2016 ad yet, but we’re looking into our crystal ball (and at last year’s ad) to make some predictions for this year.
Sale Start Times
Over the last few years, Walmart has opened its doors at 6:00pm on Thanksgiving Day. We predict that Walmart will start its in-store sale at the same time, if not earlier, for Black Friday 2016.
The retail giant may also launch doorbusters at different times to prevent long lines and overcrowding in the store.
As for the online doorbusters, we have a feeling that Walmart will launch its online deals as early as midnight PST on Wednesday, November 23, a full day before Thanksgiving.
Savings and Guarantees
Walmart is known for offering its one-hour guarantee and price matching on select Black Friday deals, and we expect that they will do so again this year.
Qualifying items will be eligible for the one-hour guarantee. If one of these items runs out less than one hour after the sale starts, you can pay for the item at the store and then receive it by Christmas Eve by registering your receipt online.
Although Walmart recently nixed its in-store ad match program from over 500 of its locations, there’s a chance that the store will bring back a price match program for the holiday season. Additionally, if you find a lower price at another store, you can download Walmart Savings Catcher and receive an eGift card for the difference. Yet another good reason to download this money-saving app.
If you're a fan of in-store pickup, you'll be happy to know that Walmart has added millions of items that will be eligible for same day in-store pickup.
Deal Predictions
Walmart is notoriously tight-lipped about their Black Friday deals, but a recent press release has stated that the retailer will offer exclusive deals throughout the store - and add more Rollbacks that will be good through November and December.
As for specific deals, we expect to see deep discounts on apparel, homegoods, toys, small appliances, and especially electronics.
