This holiday season, Target’s got a few tricks up its sleeve.
The Doors
This year Target will throw open their doors at midnight. And they’re not alone. Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Kohl’s, and Macy’s will also be opening at 12 AM this year.
Holiday Price Match
Between Nov. 1 and Dec. 16, Target customers will be able to match ‘select online competitors’ prices in its stores.’ The operative word here is ‘select,’ and includes online retailers Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com and Toysrus.com. Click here for more details on Target’s holiday price matching policy from Shopping Diva Heather Schisler.
The retailer will also be extending the timeframe on their Price Match Policy from Nov. 1-Dec. 24, and have further extended the policy to include their own retail site, www.Target.com.
Let’s Get Digital
Target is making it easier for shoppers to snag deals pretty much anywhere. Use your mobile device to send a text or scan a QR-code – right from Target’s bus shelter ads, catalog pages, and television spots. Target’s shoppable advertising begins Nov. 7.
This feature is also available in-store. Any frazzled parents out there try to slip presents into the cart without their kids noticing? Target thought so. Now the season’s 20 hottest toys will have QR cods that can be scanned for purchase, and then shipped for free anywhere in the US. This shoe section will also have this feature. Good news for anyone who’s ever found the perfect shoe, only to discover that it’s not available in their size. And with free WiFi being rolled out in all Target stores, this feature will be easy to use and access.
It’s On!
The “It’s On!” holiday campaign will feature “the spirited singing ‘Target Deals Duet,’” who will be airing on TV, radio and online. On Target.com, a neon-lit “It’s On!” logo will let shoppers know that a sale is underway. This campaign is in anticipation of Black Friday, and although we at BlackFriday.com aren’t really sure what this campaign will entail or look like exactly, we’re pretty excited to find out.
