What You Need To Know About Holiday Price Matching 2012

When it comes to saving money, price matching is very common at many stores. This year, many stores have instituted their own Holiday Price Matching policies. This is a great way to save, but you do need to understand what they are and are not going to allow. This is important to note as you review the ads on BlackFriday.com.  Here are the key points from 4 stores:

Target's holiday price matching starts on November 1, 2024 and runs through December 16, 2012. During this time, guests will be able to match on-line prices at Target and select competitor sites including: Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, ToysRUs and BabiesRUs. To have your purchase price matched, you simply need to just show the price prior to December 16th at Guest Services. It is important to note that they will not price match anything between November 22, 2024 and November 26, 2012.

Walmart has not released any updates to it's price matching policy. They will continue with matching store ads from other competing stores. While they normally do not require the ad to price match, it is recommended that you do show the ad during the holiday season in order to have a seamless price match.

Best Buy will also price match on-line competitors - including Amazon. Their holiday price matching runs from November 4, 2024 through November 17, 2012.  It will resume again November 27, 2024 - December 24, 2012. The products they will price match include only electronics and appliances. The store salesclerk has the authority to price match or not, so it is truly up to each individual store to price match or not.

Toys R Us/Babies R US is also price matching. Not only are they price matching, they have many exclusive store offers, which might entice you to shop at their store and go ahead and price match your other products. You must have the printed ad in order to price match. The only on-line prices they will match are from their own sites (sorry, no Amazon price matching here). They also will not match anything which is limited quantities.
