When is Black Friday 2019?

Black Friday will be on November 29 in 2019. But expect sales to start much earlier.

Black Friday is on the day after Thanksgiving, which means that it will be on November 29.

Based on previous Black Fridays, most Black Friday sales will start on Thanksgiving (or even before) and extend later throughout the Black Friday weekend and into Cyber Monday 2019.

Black Friday 2019 predictions

Stores will continue the trend of starting their in-store doorbuster Black Friday sales on the afternoon of Thanksgiving. However, we’ll continue to see “early” Black Friday sales popping up online early in the week of Thanksgiving (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). In 2018, Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) was a major shopping day, with Walmart kicking off its deals that evening and Amazon kicking off its own deals days earlier than that.

Also, as is becoming a trend, Black Friday won’t end on Friday. The entire span of Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday will be one long savings event. While some in-store doorbusters will last only minutes on Black Friday itself, plenty of online deals will extend the entire long weekend. That’s not to say in-store doorbusters aren’t worth shopping. Last year, we saw popular gaming bundles on the Switch and Xbox One X sell out online before in-store doorbusters even got started, making those in-store deals the only opportunity for snagging 2018’s must-have gaming consoles.
